We're a family who ends up testing a lot of gear, whether we planned to or not — middle school has a way of turning "can I have this" into an actual research project. This site is where we write down what held up, what didn't, and what was worth the money, mostly so we stop re-researching the same purchase decisions every few months.

We're not professional reviewers. We buy or borrow the things we write about, use them the way a real household would, and say so when something didn't work out.
